Jenks Oxford at Binsey Countryside Fair

On Saturday 10^th of September Jenks Oxford Ltd were at Binsey Countryside Fair. The fair was held to showcase countryside crafts and to raise money for Sobell House Hospice. The purpose of Sobell House Hospice Charity is to support the Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice in providing palliative and end of life care to the residents of Oxfordshire.

The hospice currently costs around £4 million a year to run, much of which is raised through the support and generosity of individuals and companies throughout the community.

The Hospice offers physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to those facing life threatening illness, death and bereavement. The focus is on quality of life, respecting the uniqueness of each person, and respect for the dignity of all users of the service.

As part of the show we gave demonstrations in tree pruning and tree felling as well as tree surgery rigging and aerial rescue techniques. On show was some of the equipment used in modern arboriculture in and around Oxfordshire.
